How will the current subscribers be transitioned?

currently receive a Sat/Sun paper, will receive the Sunday only newspaper.

Will all seven days of the E-edition remain?
Yes, absolutely! The same format you're accustomed to will be accessible for your convenience on your phone, tablet, or computer. Our e-edition is designed to provide a seamless reading experience across all your personal devices. If you're accustomed to reading in that format, you'll find it just as enjoyable on our e-edition. Feel free to explore and let us know if you need any assistance.
Why the change?
At TH Media, we're always looking for ways to better serve our community. Recently, we've had to make some
changes to adapt to the rising costs of producing and delivering our newspaper. To ensure we stay focused on
bringing you the news you rely on, we're moving to publishing and delivering our printed paper just 3 days a
week a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
However, you'll still have access to our E-edition
seven days a week, so you can enjoy our coverage as usual. And remember, you can always stay updated with
the latest news on our website, telegraphherald.com. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we
work to keep delivering quality journalism to Dubuque and the tri-state area.
Is the newspaper failing?
Actually, our newspaper isn't failing at all. Instead, we're evolving and shifting our business model to
match the modern landscape of news consumption and technology. Just like how many retailers and banks are
moving their operations online, we're reaching more people through digital channels than ever before. This
shift allows us to stay true to our journalistic mission while adapting to how people prefer to get their
news.
We're committed to keeping you informed and engaged, no matter how you choose to access our content.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support during this transition.
What will happen to the Thanksgiving inserts without a Thursday printed paper?
Our Thanksgiving edition will be published on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving just like we did in 2024. We will insert all of our Thanksgiving inserts into this edition, and we don’t anticipate this to impact the size of the paper or the number of inserts.
What will happen to the comics and puzzles?
Comics and Puzzles will still be published on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Additional puzzles will continue to be published in our What’s On insertion in the Friday newspaper as well and you can find additional puzzles and games on our website at telegraphherald.com.
Will any other content be published on different days?
No, the Telegraph Herald will only be printed on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
What will happen to the obituaries?
Obituaries will now be published in our printed editions every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday as well as in
our e-edition seven days a week.
To stay informed daily subscribe to our Obit E-Newsletter and receive obituaries delivered to your
inbox 7 days per week.
Will the Telegraph Herald be delivered the same day - or will the paper be a day late getting to our home?
For all our customers currently enjoying same-day delivery, rest assured, you'll still receive your paper on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays just like before.
I want to continue to read the printed paper 6 days a week like I am accustomed to.
If you're someone who enjoys reading the printed paper all six days of the week, have you considered trying
out our e-edition? It's just like flipping through the printed version, but it's available online all 7 days
per week!
To access the e-edition, it is already included with your subscription but you will need to log in
and create your digital account.
Does this mean the beginning of the end for the Telegraph Herald?
Absolutely not! This change doesn't signify the beginning of the end for the Telegraph Herald. Instead, it's
a strategic move to meet the demands of today's market by offering both digital and print delivery
options.
We're grateful for the strong support we receive from our local community, and we're
dedicated to
continuing our tradition of community journalism for the long haul.
I don’t have a computer or internet connection!
We truly understand. This was a hard decision for us and we know it's not easy to adjust to only receiving
the printed newspaper on certain days, especially for those who may not have access to the internet or a
device. We recognize that everything is changing rapidly. Do you have someone in your family who might be
able to assist you in accessing the e-paper? It's an exact replica of the printed
paper.
Alternatively, if you have a smartphone or cellphone, you can access telegraphherald.com with
that
device or have you considered adding a tablet to your plan? It could be a great solution for accessing our
content digitally. We're here to help you navigate through these changes, so please feel free to reach out
if you need any assistance. We’ll be happy to help you understand how to access our digital offerings.
What happens to my rate? Will I get a credit?
Given that we are still incurring the majority of the costs of producing a newspaper (including reporting, editing, composing, creative work, and more), there are no plans for adjustments at this time. We trust that you'll continue to see the value in being a subscriber. Rest assured, your current subscription rate will be honored until its expiration date.
I’m on auto-pay and pay for one month at a time. I am currently on a weekend subscription. When will my rate change?
Your subscription rate will remain the same. You'll continue to have access to all the content you've always enjoyed, and we're here to assist you in accessing our content in other ways - via e-edition or on telegraphherald.com. If you have any questions or need assistance navigating our content, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're dedicated to ensuring you get the most out of your subscription.
I would like to subscribe to the Telegraph Herald, both print and online. How much will this cost me?
For new subscribers you can receive the printed editions on Wed, Fri and Sunday along with full 7 day digital access for $34.00 per month EZ Pay. There will be an additional charge for premium editions throughout the year.
Can I transfer my current balance (print) to pay for an online subscription?
Absolutely!
Shouldn’t I get a discount on my subscription?
We are not adjusting prices. Our subscribers will continue to receive our e-edition and our online journalism seven days a week. If you do not have access already, go to telegraphherald.com and activate your subscription.
How am I supposed to get the latest news?
Our journalists are publishing stories on telegraphherald.com, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Subscribers have unlimited access to all content on telegraphherald.com and our mobile apps. Readers also can access the e-edition, an exact digital replica of the print newspaper available seven days a week.
How do I get to the e-edition?
Visit telegraphherald.com. If you’re a subscriber and have not yet activated your account, please contact our customer service representatives at (563)588-5620.
I don’t think this is fair. I signed up for a newspaper every day.
We understand, but news consumption habits are forcing a lot of changes. We are still providing our
journalism to you every day. We’ve simply changed our method of delivery, not the quality product we bring
to you.
You can support local journalism by reading telegraphherald.com. If you still want to discuss your
account, you may call 563-588-5620, but please be patient. We expect call volumes to be high as readers
adapt to this change.
